BIO

Mountain climbing as a sport promotes physical activity as a healthy lifestyle. It teaches discipline,
focus and resilience and continues to inspired generations of young climbers and communities to
aim higher in all aspects of life.

I am a Zambian born, South African mother of two boys and also a corporate leader in one of the
distinguished companies in South Africa. Over time, I have demonstrated commitment to making a
difference in my environment and leveraged my self-funded attempt of the highest peak in Africa by
raising funds for Kids Haven initiative to build an outdoor gym for the sheltered kids.

One of my goals for the Climbing the Seven summits with a purpose is to be an example to African
girls; to inspire them to pursue their dreams and summit their everyday peaks in education, sports
and other spheres of life.

With the 2014 Everest attempt I raised funds for The Lunch Box Fund to feed over 60,000 children
and in 2015 raised funds and built library for a primary school in Thembisa township, Johannesburg
through the Mandela Library Projects.

Seven Summits:

2012 - Kilimjaro
2014 - Elbrus traverse
2015 - Aconcagua

Everest Attempts:

2014 - Reached Everest Base Camp: Mountain closed after an avalanche that claimed 16 Sherpa lives
2015 - Reached Camp 2: Expedition abandoned after an earthquake that claimed more than 8000 lives in Nepal
